Do you know why it is useful to track your goods? It is useful for solving problems related to the identification time of individual packages and for keeping its location under control at all times.
This is precisely why RFID technology is increasingly in demand, especially in the logistics sector. It is an automatic identification system that enables the detection of both stationary and moving objects, guaranteeing both impeccable customer service and optimisation of the internal handling flow.
This system is also able to monitor production progress in all its different phases in order to have complete control over process times and costs, thus improving daily operations. Main features:
- Track and know the status of the warehouse in real time;
- Minimise the risk of loss and theft;
- Full control of the production flow;
- Inventory entire containers in a few moments;
How It Works:
This technology is widely used for asset tracking, but how does it work?
It works through the use of RFID antennas placed within warehouse areas that allow the real-time identification of appropriately tagged products.
An RFID tag is affixed to the product that is to be tracked, which enables the contents of the tag to be identified and read using special readers.
In this way, it is possible to track and know the status of the warehouse in real time, also minimising the risk of loss and theft, and it is possible to trace both the individual product and a pallet.
A single reader can scan multiple tags, which can in fact be read even without them being visibly detectable, so even inside boxes or hidden by customised labels.
The result? Fewer errors and more accuracy! Using RFID brings real benefits to both the retailer and the end consumer.
